Publishing and Uploading Breeze
Presentations to UAS Online
STEP
1)
Publish your Breeze presentation:
a) In
PowerPoint, select the Breeze menu and click Publish…

At
the next screen…
b)
Make sure
the My Computer tab is selected on
the left-hand side (as opposed to the Breeze Server tab.) Use the Browse…
button to select a location where you can save your Breeze presentation
and make sure to check the
“Zip files”
checkbox. Click the
Publish button.

STEP 2) Upload your Breeze presentation (the Zip file created in Step 1b) to your UAS Online Portfolio.
a) Log in to UAS Online (http://www.uas.alaska.edu/online)
b) Go
to
the course where you plan to upload your presentation,
Click on the Portfolio link in the
navigation bar at the top of the screen,
If you haven't used the portfolio for this class yet, click on
the "create new portfolio page."
c) Look for the Add Portfolio Item button and click it.
d)
Enter
a Title
for your portfolio item and then click Add
Attachment.
e) A series of dialog boxes will walk you through the upload process…
In
the first dialog box, check the Compressed
folders of files (ZIP archives) checkbox, then click the Next> button:

In the second dialog box, click the “a hyperlink” checkbox, then click the Next> button:

In
the final dialog box, locate
your Breeze presentation with the .zip extension on your hard drive with the Browse…
button, type in a Title/Caption,
and then click the Upload button:

Note: Depending on the file size of your presentation and your connection speed, it may take some time for the upload process to complete.
f) After the upload process completes, click the Close Window button. Verify that an attachment appears in the Item Content window. Click the Save Item> button.

Congratulations! Your portfolio should
now have a new item!
(It will appear as a blue
link with the
title of your presentation)
STEP 3) Test your Breeze presentation online.
View the new item in your portfolio by clicking on the link(s). Verify that your Breeze presentation plays back as intended.
STEP 4) Your instructor may have you email them the link to your presentation, have the link placed in a UAS Online Task or inserted into an online discussion. For any of these methods the instructions below will show you how to capture the URL.
At
the top of the Breeze
Presentation window is an address bar with a URL.
(For example:
https://uascentral.uas.alaska.edu/onlinelib/_portfolios/JNACM1/JNACM1_0817/)
You can select this URL and copy/paste it into an e-mail message or a discussion board post (or however your instructor would like to receive the link to your presentation.) Anyone clicking on that URL in the future will be taken directly to your Breeze presentation.
